Die Rainforest Art Foundation thematisiert mit künstlerisch unterschiedlichen Ausdrucksformen das fragile Ökosystem unseres Planeten, vor allem aber die Bedeutung des Regenwaldes. Künstler und Institutionen aus der ganzen Welt wollen das Bewusstsein um die Schönheit und um den dringenden Schutz des Regenwaldes durch Kunstausstellungen, Performances und eine Reihe weiterer kultureller Veranstaltungen in den teilnehmenden Ländern stärken.

The purpose of the Rainforest Art Foundation is to encourage awareness, appreciation and preservation of the Earth’s ecosystems and rainforests through various forms of artistic expression. We are artists and Institutions from around the globe, whose common goal is to make the general public more conscious of the beauty of our rain forests, the role they play in the health of our planet and the need to preserve them. Activities include art exhibitions, poetry readings and other cultural manifestations at participating countries and events.
